I’m sure that you’ve heard the quote, “The power of life and death are in the tongue” or “Speak things that aren’t as though they were.” I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again: We are the co-creators of our lives and experiences.
When someone asks you, “How are you doing?”, and you say, “Oh, my car broke down; I don’t have any money to fix it. My boyfriend just broke up with me and they are laying people off left and right at my job! I am going crazy!” Guess what?? You’ve just planted seeds that will grow into more of what you don’t want. Instead of “telling it like it is", I want you to start “telling it like you want it to be”.
When I bought my first house, I had to move from one county to another. Now, the truth was I had spent so much money on buying the house that I had no idea where I was going to get the money to pay for the actual move. Whenever someone asked me how I was doing, I could have said, “Oh man! I’m scared to death right now! I’m moving my life to a whole new county. I don’t have the money to pay for the truck to move my things, I have no idea which truck company to go with and the gas prices are so high right now that I’m gonna have to rob a bank to pay for the gas to get there!” Instead, I made the decision to see it as an opportunity to relax, have faith and allow the things that I needed to come to me. I began telling it how I wanted it to be. “All is well and everything is coming together effortlessly. I am so excited to be heading off into a bright new future. I can’t wait to get in that big ol’ kitchen and start cooking!” You see that? Everything is a choice. You either break under pressure or relax and bend with the flow of life. Remember, you have magical powers and your words are your wand so watch your mouth.
Sending you love in abundance,
